Burned Popeyes drive-thru on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis after the May 2020 unrest.
The burned remains of a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen drive-thru stand on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. Reduced to a low pile of charred debris by mid-June 2020, the restaurant was destroyed in the fires and unrest that followed the May 25, 2020, killing of George Floyd in police custody. Houses and utility lines behind the site show the commercial lot within a residential part of the corridor.
