A handwritten sign at George Floyd Square in Minneapolis reads, "Please take what u NEED, Dont be Greedy or Stealing. Everything is for Everybody. TAKE CARE of Each other." This message reflects the community's ethos of mutual aid and shared resources that emerged during the occupation of the square following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020.
