Minnesota State Patrol surround the State Capitol
Minnesota State Patrol officers are stationed at the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul on January 6, 2021. The presence of law enforcement followed reports of potential protests, occurring on the same day as the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. The Minnesota State Capitol building, designed by architect Cass Gilbert, was completed in 1905 and serves as the seat of government for the state of Minnesota.
