Minnesota State Capitol: State Patrol & Election Protests

Minnesota State Patrol officers stand across the grounds of the Minnesota State Capitol in St. Paul during protests after the 2020 presidential election. The state capitol, designed by Cass Gilbert and completed in 1905, houses Minnesota’s legislative, executive and judicial branches. The building’s dome and front lawn are visible behind the officers and a small group of demonstrators, with pedestrians crossing the foreground.
