Protesters established an overnight camp at the Minnesota State Capitol in Saint Paul to voice opposition to the Enbridge Line 3 pipeline. The demonstration aimed to pressure Governor Walz and President Biden to halt construction of the pipeline, which was nearing completion. The camp, featuring tipis, symbolized Indigenous resistance and concerns over environmental impact and treaty rights related to the tar sands project.
