A Minneapolis Police officer is seen holding open a broken window at a Walgreens store on April 11, 2021. This incident occurred in the aftermath of the killing of Daunte Wright by a police officer in nearby Brooklyn Center earlier that day. The events in Minneapolis were part of a period of unrest and protests following the death of George Floyd in 2020 and the subsequent killing of Wright. The Walgreens store, a common retail fixture in urban environments, became a focal point for some of the disturbances.
