Minneapolis Police Station at Convention Center Night

Minneapolis police at convention center
Following the destruction of the Minneapolis Third Precinct in May 2020, the Minneapolis Police Department relocated its operations to the Minneapolis Convention Center in Downtown Minneapolis. This temporary police station was established to maintain essential services after the original precinct building was set on fire during the Minneapolis Uprising. The Convention Center, typically a venue for large events, has since served as a functional base for police officers and squad cars. This arrangement highlights the adaptive use of urban infrastructure in response to significant civic events.
