Thousands marched through downtown Minneapolis on January 23, 2026, protesting the presence and actions of federal agents deployed to the city since December. The marchers braved frigid temperatures, with windchills reported at -30F. Signs and costumes, including a "ICE DEEZ NUTS" banner and a Cookie Monster mascot, conveyed the protesters' message against Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.
