This sign is positioned in front of the burned remains of the Lake Street Station post office in Minneapolis. The post office building was damaged during the civil unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd in May 2020 and the subsequent trial of Derek Chauvin. The area has seen significant rebuilding efforts, but remnants of the unrest, like this temporary signage, remain visible.
