George Floyd protest sign at Hennepin County Government Center

A protester affixes a poster bearing the name "George Floyd" repeatedly to security fencing outside the Hennepin County Government Center. This location served as a focal point during the trial of Derek Chauvin, the police officer convicted of murdering George Floyd in May 2020. The protests that followed Floyd's death brought widespread attention to issues of racial injustice and police brutality. The fencing was erected to secure the government center during the high-profile trial, reflecting the heightened tensions and public engagement surrounding the proceedings.
