Minneapolis: BLM Mural Chalk Art at Hennepin County Government Center

People making chalk art at Hennepin County Government Center plaza in downtown Minneapolis.
During the trial of Derek Chauvin, a Minneapolis police officer charged with the murder of George Floyd, community members created chalk art on the plaza outside the Hennepin County Government Center. The mural, which included Black Lives Matter messaging, was a public expression of solidarity and a call for justice. The Government Center is a prominent civic building in downtown Minneapolis, serving as the seat of county government and a courthouse.
