Foxconn's spherical building in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, opened in 2020 as part of the company's Wisconn Valley Science and Technology Park, a project announced in 2017 as a multibillion-dollar LCD manufacturing campus. Standing about 80 feet tall, the globe now functions as a data and network operations center rather than the factory space originally planned for the site. It sits along Wisconn Valley Way near Interstate 94, close to Foxconn's other buildings at the Mount Pleasant campus, including the company's electric vehicle assembly facility. The project marked one of the largest foreign direct investment announcements in Wisconsin history, though Foxconn later scaled back its original manufacturing plans for the location.
