The low-rise building at the center of this entrance sits within Foxconn's Wisconn Valley campus in Mount Pleasant, operated by Foxconn Industrial Internet, or Fii. The company shifted its stated plans here from Gen 10.5 LCD panel manufacturing to a broader mix of research, electronics assembly, and light manufacturing after the original 2017 agreement with the state was renegotiated in 2021. The glass sphere nearby was built as a data center and multimedia showcase space rather than a manufacturing facility. Wisconn Valley Way, the campus's main access road, was constructed as part of the roughly $3 billion in state and local infrastructure commitments tied to the project.
