Firefighter puts out a fire at the abandoned K-Mart

October 20, 2023 - Firefighters continue to pour water on the former temporary post office/k-mart. After two South Minneapolis post offices were burned down in May 2020, the Postal Service leased space in the building from November 2020 to late summer 2023 for temporary post offices during rebuild.
