Federal agents conducted a vehicle stop and demanded identification from a Latino man at Park Avenue and 35th Street in Minneapolis on January 12, 2026. An officer with the United States Bureau of Prisons stands with a less lethal weapon. The man stated he was released after agents confirmed his U.S. citizenship. The incident occurred near the location where ICE agents had fatally shot Renee Good just days earlier, on January 7, 2026. The confrontation escalated with the arrival of a crowd and additional officers, leading to the deployment of tear gas and pepper spray against members of the media.
