A digital billboard in South Minneapolis displays a “Twin Cities Curfew 10:00 p.m. Please stay home” message above a homeless encampment on the night of June 1, 2020. Tents, tarps, and fencing fill the lot beneath the sign, with a resident visible at left. The photograph was made during the period of curfews imposed in Minneapolis after the police killing of George Floyd, placing an official public safety directive directly over an encampment already occupying the site.
