The fire-damaged facade of the Minneapolis Police Third Precinct on Lake Street in Minneapolis shows the remaining letters of the building’s original signage. The precinct was heavily burned during the unrest that followed the killing of George Floyd in May 2020. A police station serving south Minneapolis, the building became one of the most widely recognized damaged sites from that period.
