Ecobici is Mexico City's public bicycle-sharing system, operated by the city government since its 2010 launch. The system began with 85 stations and about 1,100 bicycles in the Centro Histórico and Colonia Roma, and has since expanded to hundreds of stations across several boroughs. Riders unlock bicycles with a card or mobile app for short trips, then return them to any dock in the network. Each bicycle carries a numbered identification tag for tracking and maintenance across the fleet.
