The Community Book Shelf stands at George Floyd Square, located at the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. This community-driven initiative functions as a free exchange, allowing individuals to donate and borrow books. It emerged as part of the informal memorials and community infrastructure established in the wake of the 2020 Minneapolis Uprising and the murder of George Floyd.
