Candles around the fist at George Floyd Square
Candles around the fist at George Floyd Square.

Candles, portraits of George Floyd, and memorial offerings surround the raised fist sculpture at George Floyd Square as community members gather at the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis during the Rise and Remember event on May 25, 2021. The Pan-African flag flies above the memorial as dusk settles over the crowd marking one year since Floyd's murder at the site.
