Federal agents, including BORTAC and ICE, confronted a vehicle and its occupant at Park Avenue and 35th Street in Minneapolis on January 12, 2026. An armed officer with the Federal Bureau of Prisons pictured. The Latino driver stated he was released after agents confirmed his U.S. citizenship. The incident occurred near the location where ICE agents had fatally shot Renee Good just days earlier, on January 7, 2026. The confrontation escalated with the arrival of a crowd and additional officers, leading to the deployment of tear gas and pepper spray against members of the media.
