BORTAC agents, a specialized unit of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, confronted a crowd in Minneapolis on January 12, 2026, near Park Avenue and 35th Street. The incident occurred a week after ICE agents fatally shot Renee Good in the same vicinity. During the confrontation, federal agents reportedly stopped a Latino man, demanding identification, and later released tear gas and pepper spray on members of the media and bystanders.
