Asakusa Station, Ginza Line Entrance 4, Taito City

Asakusa Station serves as the northern terminus of the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line, Japan's oldest subway line, which opened its first stretch between Ueno and Asakusa in 1927. The station carries the designation G-19 and sits in Taito City, within walking distance of Sensō-ji Temple and the Nakamise shopping street. Entrance 4 leads down to the platform level and is marked as the Ginza Line entrance, distinguishing it from the separate Toei Asakusa Line and Tobu Skytree Line stations that share the Asakusa name nearby. The Ginza Line itself runs the length of central Tokyo, linking Asakusa to Shibuya via Ueno, Ginza, and Shimbashi.
