ACAB Graffiti, Minneapolis Federal Courthouse & Sculpture

ACAB graffiti on Federal Courthouse at night
ACAB graffiti on Federal Courthouse at night.

The Federal Courthouse in downtown Minneapolis, a key site for federal judicial proceedings, displays "ACAB" graffiti through its windows. This public expression emerged during the widespread protests and civil unrest that occurred in Minneapolis following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The building's prominent location made it a focal point for public sentiment during this period of social upheaval. In the foreground, sculptures from Tom Otterness's "The Goose Lake Cycle" series, installed on the courthouse grounds, also bear protest-related markings, reflecting the broader impact of the Minneapolis Uprising on the urban environment.
