The Green Line Extension is a light rail project adding 14.5 miles of track between Minneapolis and Eatan Prairie, with a bridge crossing over Highway 100 in St. Louis Park as one of its structures. Metro Transit and the Metropolitan Council oversee the project, which extends the existing Green Line that currently runs between Minneapolis and Saint Paul. Formwork and shoring towers built from wood and steel supports are standard methods for pouring concrete bridge decks and piers during highway-spanning construction like this.
