El Nuevo Rodeo Restaurant Fire, Minneapolis

The burned remains of El Nuevo Rodeo stand on Lake Street in south Minneapolis on May 31, 2020. The restaurant and entertainment venue was heavily damaged by fire during the unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd, leaving its brick exterior blackened and much of the interior reduced to rubble. A handwritten warning sign about unstable walls and caution tape at the sidewalk mark the building as unsafe in the immediate aftermath of the fire.
