Graffiti on the former USPS post office on East 31st Street in Minneapolis reads, “WE LOVE OUR POSTAL PATRONS! WE WILL BE BACK TO SERVE YOU.” The message covers a long brick exterior wall of the damaged postal facility, which was burned during the unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. Photographed in June 2020, the building remained closed as the handwritten message addressed customers and the anticipated return of mail service.
