Lake Street Post Office Fire, Minneapolis

Fire-damaged Lake Street post office in Minneapolis with broken windows and smoke-stained brick exterior.
The Lake Street Station post office in South Minneapolis appears here after fire damage during the protests of late May 2020. Broken windows, smoke-stained openings, and a scorched interior are visible along the brick exterior of the United States Postal Service facility on Lake Street near East 31st Street. The fire occurred during the fourth night of unrest in Minneapolis following the killing of George Floyd while in police custody, and the building was later declared a total loss and rebuilt.
