Pedestrians on Stone Arch Bridge, Minneapolis, March 2024

People walking jogging biking on bridge
Pedestrians and cyclists traverse the Stone Arch Bridge in downtown Minneapolis during March 2024. Constructed in 1883 by railroad magnate James J. Hill, this historic structure was originally built for the Great Northern Railway and remains the only stone arch bridge spanning the Mississippi River. Today, it functions as a prominent pedestrian and bicycle route, connecting the city's downtown with the Marcy-Holmes neighborhood.
