A fire-damaged Shell gas station on Lake Street in Minneapolis is pictured on the morning of May 30, 2020. The convenience store behind the pumps is gutted and still smoking, with parts of the roof and facade burned away. The damage followed nights of unrest in Minneapolis after the murder of George Floyd, when businesses along Lake Street, one of the city’s main commercial corridors, were heavily affected.
