The Minnesota State Capitol, completed in 1905 and designed by architect Cass Gilbert, served as the backdrop for a "Hands Off!" rally on April 5, 2025. The rally was one of more than 1,200 coordinated demonstrations held across the United States that day, organized in opposition to policies of the Trump administration and to actions by Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency.
