A Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen sign stands on Chicago Avenue in Minneapolis. This location was among the businesses damaged during the civil unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The unrest, which began as protests against police brutality, led to widespread destruction and looting across the city. The Popeyes restaurant itself was destroyed during this period.
