Minnesota law enforcement officers are stationed outside the Minnesota State Capitol building in Saint Paul, Minnesota. This image was taken approximately ten days after the January 6, 2021, attack on the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C., during which a mob of supporters of then-President Donald Trump attempted to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election. The heightened security presence at state capitols across the country reflected concerns about potential further unrest.
