The Minneapolis Police Third Precinct and an adjacent Autozone on East Lake Street are seen at night in March 2021. This area was a focal point during the civil unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The Third Precinct building itself was heavily damaged and eventually abandoned by the Minneapolis Police Department. The surrounding commercial properties, including the Autozone and a nearby Target store, also sustained damage during the period of protests and unrest.
