Century Plaza Renovation for Minneapolis Police 1st Precinct

The Century Plaza building on S 12th Street in Downtown Minneapolis is undergoing renovation. This structure is being adapted to serve as the new Minneapolis Police 1st Precinct police station. The relocation follows the destruction of the previous 1st Precinct headquarters during the 2020 Minneapolis Uprising. This project represents a significant effort to re-establish police operations and presence within the downtown core.
