Metrobús Line 4 runs through Mexico City's Centro Histórico, connecting the downtown core to the San Lázaro transit hub to the east. The line opened in 2012 as part of the city's bus rapid transit network, using dedicated lanes to move passengers through the dense historic district. Its buses carry the "Por una ciudad más verde" branding tied to the system's low-emission fleet initiative. Metrobús operates on a prepaid card system, with dedicated stations rather than standard curbside stops along most of its routes.
