Southside Battletrain Cardboard Float, MayDay Parade, South Minneapolis

The annual MayDay Parade in South Minneapolis in 2024 included the Southside Battletrain, an elaborate cardboard float. Participants guided the Battletrain along the parade route, which began on Bloomington Avenue and proceeded to 34th Street before concluding at Powderhorn Park. This long-standing community tradition in South Minneapolis is known for its creative floats and celebration of spring and local culture.
