These boards were installed on businesses in August 2020, following widespread protests in Minneapolis after the May 25, 2020 death of George Floyd. The murals, created by community members and artists, transformed the temporary barriers into public canvases for messages of hope, unity, and social justice. Messages such as 'Black Lives Matter' and calls for community solidarity are visible on the boards covering businesses like Total Wireless, Pineda Tacos, and Subway.
