The George Floyd Memorial mural, located at Cup Foods on the corner of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue in South Minneapolis, was created in the aftermath of George Floyd's murder in May 2020. The mural serves as a focal point for remembrance and protest, situated at the epicenter of the "George Floyd Square" autonomous zone established by activists. This site became a significant gathering place for demonstrations and a symbol of the broader Black Lives Matter movement.
