George Floyd Square in Minneapolis, April 2021, is a memorial site established following the murder of George Floyd by police on May 25, 2020. The intersection, formerly known as the intersection of 38th Street and Chicago Avenue, became a focal point for protests against racial injustice and police brutality. The memorial features numerous tributes, including flowers, candles, artwork, and messages written on the pavement, such as "I Can't Breathe." This site served as a space for community remembrance and continued activism in the months following Floyd's death.
