Washington Avenue runs along the edge of downtown Minneapolis, past the Mill District and into the North Loop's warehouse blocks. The brick building here dates to the city's late-nineteenth-century milling and warehouse era, when the area supplied flour mills and rail depots along the Mississippi riverfront.
