Empty Street Near Minneapolis Convention Center, Post-Unrest

Empty street by the Minneapolis Convention Center in downtown Minneapolis, with the Foshay Tower in the background.
An empty street in downtown Minneapolis runs past the Minneapolis Convention Center, with the Foshay Tower and other central business district buildings visible in the background. The photograph was made in early June 2020, shortly after protests followed the killing of George Floyd and as parts of downtown remained unusually quiet. The convention center, a major event and meeting venue, is linked by skyways to surrounding blocks and sits within one of the city’s primary commercial corridors.
