Minneapolis White Castle with Graffiti and Lights

The White Castle restaurant on Lake Street in Minneapolis stands boarded and fenced off in December 2023, with graffiti covering the lower exterior walls. This Lake Street fast-food property was damaged during the unrest that followed the murder of George Floyd in 2020. More than three years later, the building remained closed and secured behind chain-link fencing along one of the city’s main commercial corridors.
