A memorial for Deona Marie Knajdek is pictured on Lake Street in Minneapolis on June 30, 2021. Knajdek was killed by a driver who drove through barricades erected to protect protesters. The protests were in response to the June 3rd killing of Winston Smith by law enforcement. The memorial, located near the Seven Points Mall in Uptown Minneapolis, serves as a somber reminder of the events that transpired in the city during that period.
