Downtown Minneapolis: ‘Defund Police and Military’ on Car Window

Defund the police and military on window
Defund the police and military on window.

A car in Downtown Minneapolis displays the message 'Defund the Police and Military' written on its window. This message reflects a key demand of the social justice protests that gained prominence in Minneapolis and across the United States following the murder of George Floyd in May 2020. The call to 'defund' advocates for reallocating police budgets to community services and alternative public safety models. Such expressions on private vehicles became a common form of public discourse and protest during this period, particularly in urban environments like Minneapolis.
