GM Tobacco and neighboring storefronts on East Lake Street in Minneapolis burn as people gather outside on the night of May 28, 2020. The fire occurred during protests and unrest that followed the death of George Floyd in Minneapolis police custody. Midori’s can also be seen along the block, part of a heavily damaged commercial corridor south of downtown.
