Speedway Gas Station Fire Damage, Minneapolis

The Speedway gas station on Lake Street in Minneapolis is shown on May 31, 2020, with its convenience store building heavily damaged by fire while the pump canopy and fueling area remain standing. Wet pavement and debris mark the immediate aftermath of firefighting at the site. The damage occurred during the unrest that followed the killing of George Floyd, which left numerous businesses and buildings burned or damaged along the Lake Street corridor.
