Greg Bovino, chief of the U.S. Border Patrol’s El Centro Sector, stands with federal agents in south Minneapolis on January 7, 2026, during Operation Metro Surge, a large-scale immigration enforcement campaign conducted by ICE and Border Patrol. The operation, launched in December 2025, brought thousands of agents into Minnesota and resulted in more than 3,700 arrests statewide.
