The Nordstrom Rack storefront at the IDS Center on Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis is boarded over in the early hours of May 30, 2020. Plywood barriers were installed at retail and office properties across the city after protests and unrest followed the murder of George Floyd. The IDS Center, completed in 1972, is a major downtown office and retail complex, and Nicollet Mall is one of Minneapolis’s main transit and shopping corridors.
