On July 20, 2022, crowds gathered along Nicollet Mall in downtown Minneapolis for the annual Torchlight Parade. This event, a traditional precursor to the Minnesota State Fair, transforms the pedestrian mall into a vibrant public space. Nicollet Mall, a central thoroughfare for commerce and community events, has been a focal point for Minneapolis's urban life since its pedestrianization in the 1960s. The parade route highlights the city's community spirit and provides a lively atmosphere for residents and visitors.
